Edgar Cayce finally decided to move with his family to Virginia Beach in September 1925. A New York businessman called Morton Blumenthal agreed to finance his hospital project. An Association of National Investigators was formed in 1927 with the objective of researching and experimenting with the information obtained from the readings. The motto of the Association was: "That We May Make Manifest Our Love for God and Man." Edgar Cayce’s hospital started functioning in November 1928. Patients poured in from all parts of the country to receive readings and the treatment from the qualified medical staff comprised of doctors, nurses and therapists.
